I found a course on web writing: jerz.setonhill.edu/teaching/EL230/2003-fall/syllabus.htm at Seaton Hill University that is much like our course (except I think Prof. Jerz is a little hipper than your teacher). You might like to take a look at the course site. I found the following links on email and IM there.

Grading Messages:

Writing emphasis: For this first posting, just concentrate on writing clear, correct sentences. Maybe write first in Word to use spell check and word count. Aim for 250-300 words. Place your word count at the bottom of your entry.
